Vanessa Espinoza is currently a sophomore at Texas Lutheran University who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science double major in Physics and Chemistry with a minor in Business Administration. She has been actively participating in bioinorganic research that began in the summer of 2014. This work was presented at the ACS regional conference in Fort Worth, Texas in Fall 2014 and at the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWIP) in January 2015 at the University of Texas at Brownsville. She has been an active member of the TLU SPS since freshman year. She currently serves as the social and fundraising chair for the chapter. She is excited to be a part of the growth in activities for the chapter, which has recently been spurred by a new chapter advisor. The chapter was recently awarded a Marsh White outreach award for the first time in TLU history.
