Future Faces of Physics Jeopardy EventThe Society of Physics Students (SPS) is engaging in a year of dialogue on student diversity in physics, with the intent of increasing the visibility and focus on this issue for the physics community. This action is driven in part by a recent report from the National Academies stressing the need for professional scientific societies to take a leading role in addressing issues of diversity. As part of this dialogue, SPS has developed a Future Faces of Physics of Jeopardy game, which will be played Friday evening at 8:00pm during the Congress. The questions cover physics, pop culture physics, the physics community, history of physics, and more. Sample games are housed on the SPS website. |
