As the week comes to an end, I realize how quickly the internship is passing by. By the time I looked at the clock the workday was almost over. Half of the week was going through a bunch of readings to finish putting together a figure.
Even though Monday was Juneteenth, I still had a meeting with my professor for my directed-reading. We both chose an article to read about which will be helping me with the project I am doing for this internship.
I could not speak about this past week without first acknowledging the overturning of Roe v. Wade by SCOTUS, thus ending federal protection of abortion after almost fifty years. When I heard the news Friday morning, I felt shock, grief, and anger.
I had a weird week this week. On Monday I went to the beach with a few of the other interns, only to find out while there that my roommate tested positive for COVID-19. I became a bit paranoid as I had been a bit tired the past 2 days – a bit more than usual.
