If I were a legislator, I have the sneaky suspicion that I would get next to nothing accomplished. That is a seriously hyperbolic statement, but one of my jobs as an intern for a legislator is to write memos on bills seeking cosponsors. It’s unsurprisingly very difficult.

My second week has gone well! I have met more with my mentor, Dr. Southard, and also with Dr. Xiang Li, another researcher at Goddard. They took a look at my earlier experiment and made some suggestions to improve it.

The second week flew by! Mostly because a lot of work got done, but also because I only had a 3 day week. APS did not conduct operations on Wednesday in support of #ShutDownSTEM, and I took Friday off to go with my family to pick up our new Irish Wolfhound puppy from New York.
