Brittney Hauke

Graduate Researcher

I first got involved in SPS my freshman year at Coe College when I was invited by the assistant zone counselor of our zone (11) to go to Carthage for the zone 9 meeting. By the end of my first semester, my advisor convinced me to apply for the 2016 PhysCon Planning Committee, which I served on for about 4 years. Now I'm on the Executive Planning Committee for PhysCon 2019. Besides being engaged at the national level, I was very involved in my own chapter serving as secretary, vice president, and president. I was also inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma at the end of my junior year.

I graduated from Coe College in 2017 with BAs in physics and studio art. Currently, I'm a 2nd year PhD student in Materials Science at Arizona State University. My current work involves electron microscopy, impedance spectroscopy, and synthesizing ceramic materials.

I'm interested in joining the alumni engagement program because I want to give back to a program that helped shaped who I am today and continues to give me a support network of amazing friends and colleagues.
