Tutor.com Partners with Sigma Pi Sigma to Recruit Top Notch Physics Tutors

Tutor.com press release

Tutor.comThe Society of Physics Student (SPS) and Sigma Pi Sigma have partnered with Tutor.com to try to recruit more on-line physics tutors. The Sigma Pi Sigma national office has looked closely at Tutor.com, and talked to some members who have worked for them, and we feel that they are a good company to be associated with. They need physics tutors, and SPS/Sigma Pi Sigma is the place that they looked to find them. It seems like a good arrangement for all involved.

Tutor.comSigma Pi Sigma has reviewed the on-line application procedures, and it is likely that many members, especially those who did well in introductory physics, should make it through the application process with flying colors. Tutors who provide on demand tutoring through Tutor.com set their own hours, earn extra income and work from the comfort of their own homes. All of the tutoring is done online in Tutor.com's proprietary online classroom which includes chat, file sharing and Web browsing.

SPS/Sigma Pi Sigma does receive a modest referral fee if you are accepted as a tutor, so please indicate on the application form that you are associated with SPS, unless that really offends your sensibilities.

Current tutors list the following benefits:

  • Great way to earn extra income.
  • Flexible scheduling, 7 days a week between 2pm to 1am eastern.
  • Work from the comfort of home or dorm, all tutoring takes place online.
  • Make a difference and help students all over the country.
  • Great resume builder. Opportunity to become mentors and senior mentors in your subject area.

If you think you have what it takes to be a physics tutor, check it out at http://www.tutor.com/apply/
