A limited number of Travel Awards in the amount of $200 will be offered to help fund SPS members presenting their research at PhysCon 2016.
- Applicants must be members of the SPS national organization.
- Applicants must be undergraduate students at the time of the meeting.
- Applicants must submit an abstract and present a poster at PhysCon.
Appications were due by October 1, 2016. The application will ask you to provide the title of your poster and a statement stating why you would like to attend PhysCon 2016. The application also requires a certification from an advisor or academic mentor that the applicant is in good standing with the department; the online application will guide applicants through the process of requesting this certification.
If you receive a Travel Award, you are required to acknowledge the support that you received by including an SPS logo on your poster. You will also be required to submit a W-9 form (or equivalent). The award check will be presented at PhysCon or immediately following PhysCon on verification of your attendance. A student may not receive both a Travel Award and a PhysCon Reporter Award.
The PhysCon Travel Award is funded, in part, by the generosity of Sigma Pi Sigma members through donations.
