Week Eight

Scientific research has more ups and downs than a rolling coaster, sometimes more down than up. This week, felt like the unexpected yet substantial drop where they take the ride picture. It was a hit that got me gasping for air. But like anything in life, I looked up and took the first step forward to overcome this challenge.

Thankful for how our group reacted, as we worked together all week without pointing fingers at each other, seeking a way to improve the situation. Personally, it had not matter how we got here; all I wanted to do was figure out a way to make good results happen in such a short period of time. It did not matter how many hours we would work, or how upset it was to hear some efforts were done in vain; all it matter was to work as a team.

By Friday, we were in line for a new ride. This ride has a larger wagon, more spots and seems to be the one that will take us home.

On a personal note, I spent a full Saturday at the National Art Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. My interest was to explore the many art exhibitions and to improve my photography skills. The following are some of my favorite pictures from that day.
