This past week has been probably my least exciting week to report so far. For the first time, I spent all five days in the office. I have been hard at work at developing lessons for a K-8 Waves and Sound Workshop to be held in Cincinnati this July.

Over the past week, Tori and I have been working on the physical aspects of creating the exhibit: finalizing designs, printing and resizing images, obtaining the large images for the backgrounds, etc.

This week has been absolutely packed full of activities. Last weekend was DC pride, which was an amazing experience. My intern host, The Optical Society, is along the parade route, so they hosted a pride party and invited all the SPS interns.

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity, but I am coming to enjoy the fast paced life of the city. For being as large as it is, D.C. is quite charming and welcoming. I am starting to feel at home here, which can be attributed to my growing confidence in my navigation abilities.
