Mikayla Cleaver received her B.S. in Physics and minor in Studio Art from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. In her undergraduate career, her research focused on astrophysics where she studied the kinematics of galaxy clusters and stars around black holes. She was a 2018 SPS summer intern for the Society of Rheology. At Gettysburg, she was the president of her SPS chapter, served on the executive board for STEMinists to promote women in STEM fields, and was inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma in Fall 2018.
Mikayla is excited to be back at AIP as the SPS Programs Coordinator following her summer internship experience. In this position she will help manage awards and scholarships, the SPS newsletter, and help with the SPS summer internship.
